Jaya S. Basu is thrilled to be this year’s poetry editor. They are a junior with a double major in English and Theater and a minor in creative writing. They delight in making art in as many forms as they can, including writing, visual art, music composition, embroidery, sewing, constructing animals out of flat sheets of cardboard, and making increasingly ridiculous earrings. They work in the theater in as many disciplines as they can get their hands on, including acting, directing, playwriting, stage management, costume design, and whatever other team will have them. Outside of their work, they enjoy Sondheim musicals, indie games, and saying “thank you, I made it!” after being complimented on a clothing item.
